Vol. 5 No. 2 (2024): Urban Engineering
The Urban Engineering Graduate Program (PPGEU) at UFSCar celebrates 30 years of contribution to Brazilian engineering in 2024. Created in 1993, originating from the Urban Engineering emphasis within the Civil Engineering course, the program was established to address the challenges of rapid urban growth, offering interdisciplinary solutions in Urbanism, Sanitation, Geotechnics, and Transportation. Despite facing infrastructure and resource limitations, PPGEU stands out for its research focused on small and medium-sized municipalities, reaffirming its importance in training professionals to solve urban problems in Brazil.
